An elderly man died during a one-car crash Saturday morning along Riverview Drive in the Kittatinny section of East Penn Township.

State Police at Lehighton are investigating.

The name of the man wasn't released, pending notification of next of kin.

The car went off the left side of Riverview Drive and went into a cluster of trees.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Carbon County Coroner Bob Miller and Deputy Coroner Donna Kemmerle.

The East Penn Fire Company and Palmerton Ambulance, as well as fire police, assisted state police at the scene.
