Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin recently jailed a McAdoo man from driving under the influence, and admitted three others into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.

ARD is for first-time offenders charged with nonviolent crimes.Admission into the program is not an admission of guilt. Their records may be expunged upon successful completion of the program.All were also ordered to pay court costs and fees.Robert R. Miller, 57, McAdoo: Charged by Matthew G. Fredmonski of Reading & Northern Railroad with disrupting, delaying, or preventing operations of a train or facility; driving or operating a recreational or other vehicle; disorderly conduct - hazardous/physical offense; defiant trespass on posted property; trespass by motor vehicle; and careless driving on March 22.Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months, and ordered him to pay $350 to offset the cost of the program.Baldwin also ordered Miller to perform 10 hours of community service.Charges of trespass by motor vehicle and careless driving were dropped.DUI admissionsAndrew Schlegel, 30, Tamaqua: Charged by Coaldale police with DUI, failing to drive on the right side, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and not having rear lights on Aug. 16, 2015.Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months on the DUI charge, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program.Baldwin also suspended his license for 30 days, ordered Schlegel to perform 10 hours of community service, and fined him $25 on the charge of failing to keep right.The remaining charges were dropped.James D. Munch,24, Barto: Charged by Rush Township police with DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving an unregistered vehicle on Oct. 7, 2015.Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months on the DUI charge, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program.Baldwin also suspended Munch's license for 60 days, and ordered him to perform 10 hours of community service.The charge of driving an unregistered vehicle was dropped.Brandon D. Morin, 22, White Haven: Charged by Kline Township police with DUI, limits on turn around, compliance with sound levels, and unauthorized transfer of registration on Aug. 22, 2015.Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months on the DUI charge, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program.He fined him $25 each on the turning and sound charges, suspended Morin's license for 60 days, and ordered him to perform 10 hours of community service.The registration charge was dropped.
