Tamaqua police are investigating a purse snatching reported made to the department at 12:44 p.m. Aug. 19.

The victim finished shopping at Boyer's Food Market on Cedar Street and was loading her groceries into the car when someone removed her purse from the rear of the shopping cart.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact police at 570-668-5000.
