The former Keich's Pontiac Garage at 609 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, received damage to the garage door and a brick wall when it was struck by this Ford Flex Monday afternoon. Reports from the scene say an 87 year old male was attempting to park when his car struck the garage. The driver was extricated by personnel from the Tamaqua Rescue Squad and Tamaqua Fire Department before being transported by ambulance to St. Luke's Miners Hospital in Coaldale. The Tamaqua Police Department is investigating the 1:38 p.m. accident. No further details were released.
