I wish to thank the Palmerton United Veterans Organization and all of the veterans groups, and all of the many people who remembered and honored the Carbon County Vietnam KIAs/MIAs from July 21-25.What a wonderful, moving tribute to those brave men who gave their lives in the service of this country, including my husband Maj. William C. Whitehead Jr.A cousin sent me the Times News clippings and the program about this beautiful event.Unfortunately, my own health problems prevented me from attending this ceremony.Please know how grateful I am for remembering my husband and all of the others. It is comforting and uplifting to know that in our hometown and surrounding towns that people do care and remember these men and their sacrifices.God bless you in your work and continued success in all you do, and God bless this great USA.Best wishes and thank you again.Mary Anne WhiteheadWidow of Major W.C.
