Three charged in six Lowe's theft and fraud incidents

Three people have received theft, criminal conspiracy, and receiving stolen property charges from incidents that occurred at Lowe's in Lehighton in May.

James McMurray, 34, of Lehighton, Austin Miller, 21, of Lehighton, and William Tworkowsky, 22, of Danielsville participated in six cases of fraudulent returns and thefts amounting to $1,095 in merchandise at the home improvement store.Lowe's put in a complaint concerning the returns at 1:07 p.m. on May 11, and an investigation by the Mahoning Township Police Department found the additional offenses.McMurray has been charged with four counts of theft by deception, two counts of criminal conspiracy - theft by deception, two counts of retail theft, two counts of criminal conspiracy - retail theft, and one count of receiving stolen property.Tworkowsky has been charged with two counts each of theft by deception, criminal conspiracy - theft by deception, retail theft, and criminal conspiracy - retail theft.Miller has been charge with one count each of theft by deception, criminal conspiracy - theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.All charges are misdemeanors.
