William John Welfel, 24, of Second Street, Coaldale, was picked up by Tamaqua police on Aug. 13 on an outstanding warrant.

Officers received a tip that Welfel would be driving south in a Mercury Mountaineer around 10 p.m., then stopped him on Route 309 south at 10:11 p.m.Welfel was transported to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville to answer to the warrant.Tamaqua police cited him for driving with a DUI-related suspended license.
