Eleven first-time offenders in the criminal justice system were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program this week by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.Colton Michael Black, 20, of Lansford, was placed on a charge of simple assault. He was arrested on Feb. 23 by Summit Hill police for an incident an in the100 block of East Hazard Street.He was assessed $450 for the cost of the program and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and have no contact withthe victim.Emmanuel Cabrera, 39, of Nesquehoning, was placed on a charge of criminal trespass. He was arrested by Nesquehoning police for an incident on Oct. 20, 2015, in the200 block West Catawissa Street.He was assessed $650, ordered to render 50 hours of community service, and make restitution of $206.70.Jordan Lynne Devitt, 20, of Nesquehoning was placed on a driving under the influence charge. She was arrested on July 9, 2015, by Summit Hill police along Route 209. A test showed 0.17 BAC.She was assessed $650, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 90 days.Daniel Adam Drakeford, 36, of Summit Hill, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on March 13 along White Bear Drive by Summit Hill police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Daniel Ryan Drey,21, of Easton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on April 16 along Mahoning Drive East by Mahoning Township police. A test revealed a 0.04 BAC.He was assessed $450, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 90 days.Edward James Meckel II, 23, of Slatington, was placed on a possession of a small amount of marijuana charge. He was arrested on April 16 following a traffic stop along Route 248 at the Palmerton exit by state police at Lehighton.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Kori Danielle Rogers,21, of Brooklyn, New York, was placed for 18 months on a charge of access device altercation or fraud. She was arrested on June 2 along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough by state police at Fern Ridge following a traffic stop. Found in the vehicle were 16 fraudulent driver's licenses, 15 fraudulent credit cards and a magnetic strip device used for credit cards.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 75 hours of community service.Ross Anthony Santana, 28, of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Feb. 27 along Lake Drive in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test showed 0.10 BAC.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 30 days.Donald Smith III,23, of Lehighton, was placed on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. He was arrested by Mahoning Township police on May 26.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.James Patrick Tee,57, of Summit Hill, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on March 27 in the 100 block of East Walter Street by Summit Hill police. A test revealed a 0.27 BAC.He was assessed $550 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and license suspended for 60 days.Nathan Paul White, 29, of Gouldsboro, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on April 25 along Route 940 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.12 BAC.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 30 days.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program. Those charged with DUI must also follow all recommendations of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
