WHERE TO TAKE ELECTRONICS

Schuylkill County will not accept electronics during its annual fall cleanup next month. But here are places that will take those old television sets, computers and other devices.

Please call before taking electronics to any of the places to make sure they are still accepting them. Some places charge a fee to take the devices.• Vertigo Systems, 376 Centre Ave., Schuylkill Haven and 912 Schuylkill Mall, Frackville.You must call 570-385-3358 (Schuylkill Haven) or 570-874-3358 (Frackville) for an appointment. Vertigo takes all office and household electronics and computers. there is a $45 fee for televisions, and it does not take large projection televisions or wooden consoles. Vertigo charges $10 to take computer monitors and printers.• Goodwill Keystone Area, 1544 Route 61 Highway South, Schuylkill Haven. Call 570-385-8261. Goodwill does not accept televisions.• Salvation Army Family Store, 206 N. Centre St., Pottsville. Call 570-628-3552. The store does not take televisions.• Responsible Recycling Services, 805 Tomahawk Drive, Kutztown. Call 484-641-5156. Accepts computers, cables, cords, mice, keyboards, and computer parts at no charge. It also takes small household printers, copiers, scanners, telephones, laptop batteries, microwaves and other items. Responsible Recycling charges a fee for televisions and large machines.• Bloomsburg Recycling Center, 901 Patterson Drive, Bloomsburg. Call 570-784-4532. The center charges $10 for television sets.• Staples, 6104 Cressona Mall, Pottsville. Call 570-385-7360. Accepts cellphones and accessories, computers, batteries, and office machines.- Chris Parker
