A Monroe County truck driver was involved in a three-vehicle crash at 4:58 p.m. Thursdayalong Route 222 in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said John H. Burger III, 50, of Blakeslee, driving a 1997 International Harvester tractor with trailer; Judith A. Burkholder, 55, of Allentown, driving a 2013 Volvo XC60; and Ryan F. Acolicol, 36, of Breinigsville, driving a 2016 Honda Accord, were all northbound in the right lane.Acolicol stopped and Burkholder began to slow down. Burger failed to maintain a safe speed and could not stop, hitting the rear of the Honda and pushing it into the rear of the Volvo. Burger and his passenger, Ronald Kochmer, 48, of Clarks Summit, were not injured.Acolicol and Burkholder complained of injuries but declined medical attention. Damages were severe to the Honda, which was towed. The tractor and Volvo were driven from the scene.Troopers cited Burger for the crash.
