A former WWE wrestler was sentenced in Carbon County court Thursday on three driving under the influence charges, but because of what she did to address an alcohol abuse problem, she was saved additional jail time.

Tamara Lynn Sytch, 43, of Palmerton, previously admitted to driving drunk on May 30, June 1 and June 20, 2015. Sytch was formerly known as WWE Diva "Sunny."On Thursday, Sytch told Judge Joseph J. Matika of her work to address her "binge" drinking. She first went through a 30-day inpatient program in Pennsylvania and felt that was not enough. She then entered an inpatient facility in Connecticut for a total of 95 days spent in rehabilitation programs.Sytch told the court her stay in the inpatient programs was a "life-changing experience." She said she also stopped using medication for depression and feels "amazing."She also said she has experienced serious health problems in which her doctor told her, "Don't drink and live. Drink and die."She said she continues counseling and proudly announced she was "152 days clean."Matika congratulated her for her accomplishments in addressing a serious problem. He told her, "You took advantage of the treatment available to you. I'm pleased to see you went down that road."The first arrest occurred along Route 443 when she was stopped by Mahoning Township police. A test showed 0.25 BAC.The second arrest was by state police at Lehighton along Route 209 in Lehighton.The third arrest occurred on June 20, at the intersection of Gun Club and Penn Forest roads in Towamensing Township when her 2008 Dodge Caliber ended up in a ditch. A check revealed she did not have a state driver's license.WWE historyShe achieved her greatest success under the ring name Sunny within the World Wrestling Federation during the 1990s.She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. She also performed under her real name in Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling and Ring of Honor.Last year Vivid Entertainment, known for its celebrity sex tapes, released "Sunny Side Up," starring Sytch.Sytch was sentenced to serve a total of 97 days to five years in prison but was given credit for 95 days in rehab and two days she spent in prison and was paroled. She must also pay fines totaling $2,100, license suspended for a total of two and a half years, render a total of 125 hours of community service, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee.At the conclusion of the proceeding Matika told her, "I hope the rest of your life is bright and 'sunny.'"
