Carbon driver is injured in Lehigh crash

A Carbon County driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10:59 p.m. Saturdayat the intersection of Route 309 and Mountain Road in Lynn Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Reynaldo Figueroa, 51, of Sinking Springs, Berks County, was westbound on Mountain Road operating a 2008 Kia Spectra when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection with 309. Joseph P. Mangan, 64, of Summit Hill, was southbound on 309 when the front bumper of his 2000 Ford F150 truck hit the front left of the Kia. Upon impact, the Kia spun clockwise and came to rest in the northbound lane of 309. The Ford continued another 90 feet before coming to rest in the northbound lane.Figueroa and his passenger, Todd M. Koch, 41, of Reading were all taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, by Cetronia ambulance. Mangan was not injured.Troopers cited Figueroa for a stop sign violation.
