Palmerton School District schools will reopenAug. 29.

Elementary students in kindergarten through sixth grade will begin at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 3 p.m. Morning kindergarten will run 8:30-11:15 a.m. and afternoon kindergarten 12:15-3 p.m.Junior high and high school students, grades seven through 12, will begin at 7:30 a.m. and dismiss at 2:25 p.m.On Aug. 29, junior high students will report to the school's gymnasium to start the day. High school students will report to locations outlined in their back-to-school letter. The letters will be delivered by Aug. 21.Bus schedules will be posted at all school entrances, on the district website, and in the Times News.Lunch will be $2.20 for elementary students and $2.30 for junior/senior high students. Applications for reduced lunch rates are available in the cafeteria.Breakfast is $1.15 for elementary students and $1.25 for junior/senior high students.
