August 18, 1993 - Four pitchers from the West squad combine to strike out 15 batters and lead their team to a 13-3 victory in the annual Panther Valley Little League Tournament all-star game. Tamaqua's Matt Leitzel and Vince Boyer each fan five, while Ryan Bamford, also from Tamaqua, strikes out three. Winning pitcher John Stanko, of Lansford, whiffs two. Boyer also homers in the contest, while Jason Seiple of Tamaqua bangs out a pair of doubles. Leitzel finishes with two hits, and Brian DeGiosio of Summit Hill adds a run-scoring double.
