State police at Fern Ridge said a sobriety checkpoint operation will be conducted this weekend in its coverage area including Chestnuthill and Jackson townships in Monroe County, as well as Penn Forest Township in Carbon County.

The operation will run from Fridaythrough Sunday.The checkpoint will be conducted in support of Pennsylvania's Selective Traffic Enforcement against Drunk Driving Initiative.
