Lehigh man gets long prison term for fourth DUI

A Lehigh County resident was sentenced to a long prison term on Monday in Carbon County court after previously pleading guilty to his fourth driving under the influence charge.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II sentenced James Eric Fisher, 53, of Allentown, to serve one to five years in prison.Fisher was arrested on June 21, 2015, along Mauch Chunk Road by Palmerton police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Fisher is currently an inmate in the Lehigh County prison facing a probation violation proceeding.In addition Nanovic ordered Fisher to pay a fine of $1,500, license suspended for 18 months, pay court costs and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole.
