Biden and Clinton revisit roots in Scranton

Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton added some star power to her appearance in Scranton Monday.

Vice President Joe Biden, who like Clinton has family ties to the Scranton area, energized the crowd at a rally for the Clinton campaign.

Biden struck hard at Donald Trump, Clinton's republican opponent. Biden said that there is no question that Trump lacks the foreign policy experience to lead the United States.

"Hillary has forgotten more about American foreign policy than Trump and his entire team will ever understand. Hillary's been there, she's been tested," Biden, said.

Biden chastized Trump for praising leaders like Vladimir Putin and Saddam Hussein. He said that Trump's comments being critical of NATO line up with Putin more than they do American foreign policy.

"Those who fought and bled aside us for decades, he wants to throw those partnerships aside like he has his failed companies,"

It was clear that Biden's folksy charm and charisma brought a lot to the event, but some said that it wasn't as important to the focused policy criticism he unleashed on Trump.

"Joe clarified Trump's weaknesses on foreign policy -- in case anybody was wondering," Scranton resident Barb O'Malley said.
