A male was struck by lightning while standing in the water at the main beach area at Beltzville State Park Saturday evening.

The call came in shortly after 8 p.m. According to scanner reports, crew on scene were attempting CPR before transporting him to a hospital.

Others in the immediate area also injured, according to reports.

Park rangers, Franklin and state police were assisting at the scene.

Franklin Township Fire Department was also on scene.
