Pennsylvania State Police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a home invasion at 190 Market St., in Cumbola.
Troopers say a 40-year-old man forcibly entered the home at 1:20 a.m. Friday and was shot by a 50-year-old man who lived in the home. The gunshot victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.Cumbola is a community of 443 residents 12 miles west of Tamaqua along Route 209, between the boroughs of New Philadelphia and Port Carbon.
