A Reading man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash at 2:59 a.m. Thursday on Route 222 (Hamilton Boulevard) in Upper Macungie Township.

Bradley S. Mayer, 23, was pronounced dead at 6:37 a.m. in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, according to Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim, who said the death was caused by multiple traumatic injuries.Upper Macungie Township police said he was driving a vehicle southbound on Route 222 when it crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a tractor trailer operated by Luis Cabrerra, 49, of Queens, New York. Police said Route 222 was closed for hours while the wreckage was cleared from the scene.
