A Luzerne County driver was cited following a crash that occurred during a rainstorm on Monday.

State police at Frackville said Ashley A. Furedi, 26, of Hazleton, was driving a 2009 Toyota Yaris northbound on Route 61 in Blythe Township at 5:06 p.m. in the left passing lane during a rainstorm. Furedi lost control of the car which slid onto the left shoulder and struck the guide rail. The car came to final rest facing north on the shoulder.Furedi was not injured. She was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
