Andrew Bensinger, 29, of Catawissa Street, Tamaqua, was cited following an argument with his girlfriend on July 25.

Tamaqua police were called to the Bensinger home at 9:01 a.m. and spoke to the victim, who said the couple was arguing about cellphones when Bensinger pushed her onto a bed and grabbed her around the neck in a choke hold. She was able to get free and dial 9-1-1.Bensinger was cited for simple assault and harassment.
