I would like to know as a resident of the Slatington Borough, as a homeowner and a taxpayer, why the Slatington Police Department does not help me or my neighbors in any way.

They have profiled Walnut Street as a troublesome place. All we tried to do was get rid of the trouble to have a peaceful, quiet neighborhood like normal people would who work for a living. Our homes and garages are broken into and the police hang up the phone on us and won't even respond or help us in.They have made myself and a few neighbors around here labeled as bad people. When we called for their help they came and said, what do you want us to do, which is completely wrong. They did not help the taxpaying homeowners solve any problems. All they did was give us citations and ignore our request.This is a real serious problem that exists in Slatington. We need to call the state police to have them call the Slatington Borough to have them respond to a break-in. The council talks about us for a joke. They tell us we have no say in the community but yet all they are concerned about is their own private advantages.George HaasSlatington
