Lansford Police are looking for whoever is responsible for defacing a sign marking the entrance to the borough.
Someone vandalized the borough entrance sign located along Route 902 using red spray paint. The sign is less than a year old.The damage was discovered Thursday morning.The vandals also defaced two Pennsylvania Department of Transportation signs and a guardrail using the red spray paint.The marking on the guardrail appears to read "Konfidential."The signs were installed less than a year ago thanks to a grant from the Lehigh Valley Chamber Foundation.Lansford Police are asking anyone with information about the vandalism to call them at 570-645-5844.Mayor James Romankow went a step further on his facebook page, warning the alleged perpetrator or perpetrators that they would be found: "To the low life scum bag who defaced the Lansford sign. We will find you. You will be arrested and your name will be blasted all over the place. You must not be paying attention the residents of this town are fed up with this stuff happening, and have been playing a big part in helping to clean up the town."
