Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for 830,000 vehicles Thursday.

Ford said vehicles have a faulty spring tab in the side door, which could prevent the door from latching properly, or possibly cause the door to unlatch while driving.One reported crash and one injury were potentially related to the latch problem.Ford said most reports are coming from states with higher average temperatures and temperature increases, with the recall focused on vehicles in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Oregon, and Washington.Affected vehicles include the 2013-15 Ford C-MAX, 2013-15 Ford Escape, 2012-15 Ford Focus, 2015 Ford Mustang and Lincoln MKC, and 2014-16 Ford Transit Connect.Ford dealers will replace the latch free of charge.
