Couple question delay in police investigation

During the July Kidder Township board of supervisors meeting, Brooke Neve of Philadelphia read a statement to the supervisors regarding an incident that took place early on the morning of May 31, 2015.

Neve recounted a story of being notified by a friend that her fiance, now husband, Anthony had been involved in an altercation outside of Shenanigan's and that he had been injured and transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley trauma center. In her statement, Neve recounts the incident as it was told to her. Neve was not a witness to the altercation. Neve said her husband suffered two concussions, a fractured eye socket, a broken nose, two broken ribs and a shattered collar bone. Her husband has permanent vision loss in his left eye.Neve also recounted her frustration with the local investigation and that despite the statement of an eyewitness and information she received from the Kidder Township Police Department, the parties in the altercation have not been questioned or brought to justice."At this point I had also been expressing my dissatisfaction with the investigation via email to both Chief (Matthew) Kuzma and township manager (Lisa) Klem. I expressed my intentions to speaking to the DA's office," she wrote. She went on the express her frustration and asked the supervisors to intercede."I ask you to please help us move this investigation along before the lack of interest and action on this case takes away our chance for justice."Neve said they are contemplating a civil suit against the other parties involved, but cannot until they have been identified.Klem referred all questions to Kuzma.Kuzma would not comment other than to confirm this is an ongoing and open investigation.
