St. John's Lutheran Church, 319 South Ave. in Jim Thorpe, will hold its annual free clothing giveaway beginning Thursday. The volunteers spent many hours sizing and sorting mountains of clothing and assorted items. The event runs through Aug. 20. Days and hours are: Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Fridays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a large variety of men's, women's and children's clothing, as well as small household items.
