After four scoreless innings for both teams, Evans drives a ball to center to plate Durbin Wagner with the winning run. Evans ends the contest with two hits. Joe Thomas belts a homer for Tamaqua, while Frank Astolfi tosses all 10 innings to earn the pitching win. Astolfi strikes out seven batters. Harry Fitzpatrick and Mike Stebilla each chip in with a hit and run scored.
