A male driver was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when involved in a crash along Spruce Hollow Road in Lower Towamensing Township. The crash occurred as the male was driving north, about a mile north of Hahn’s Dairy Road, when he lost control of his late model Dodge pickup truck. The unit crossed the southbound lane and struck a tree. Members of Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics treated him before he was flown by Penn Star helicopter to St. Luke’s Trauma Center in Bethlehem. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
