Free movie in Palmerton borough park

The Concourse Club of Palmerton invites the community to its second annual Movie in the Park.

The feature will be Disney's Pixar tale, "Inside Out" on Wednesday. The show will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the borough park and it's free.The movie will be displayed on a giant inflatable screen. Moviegoers should bring a blanket or lawn chairs, snacks and drinks. All regular park rules, such as no alcohol, pets or smoking, apply.If needed, the rain date is Thursday, same time, same place. The script is classic Disney Pixar, containing content to delight all from young to old," said club President, Lisa Snell Kern."Inside Out," rated PG, is a tale about the inner workings of the mind that control how people behave. Five main characters, Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust, combine to guide 12-year-old Riley Andersen through changes in her life as she moves from Minnesota to California and experiences the difficulty of fitting into her new surroundings.The Concourse Club hopes this event will increase awareness of the its activities."Our roster of members exceeds 130 dedicated women, but we're always looking for new members and new ideas," Snell Kern said.Anyone interested in more information about the club is encouraged to visit the club's website.
