A driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a crash in front of the Pocono Mountain Regional police headquarters on Route 940 in Pocono Summit.

Police said the crash occurred at 5:47 a.m. on Monday when a vehicle operated by Jason Heinbach, 35, of Albrightsville, struck a vehicle that had slowed down to permit another vehicle to turn into police headquarters.Heinbach had slurred speech and glassy eyes, police said, and also had a 4-week-old infant in the vehicle.He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and taken for a blood test. The charges are pending the test results. Police said the infant was placed in the custody of Monroe County Children and Youth.
