A Weissport man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to tampering with evidence while a Jim Thorpe man admitted to a firearm violation.

The two entered their pleas before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.Overdose reportJason Kevin Ensel, 41, was arrested following an incident on Jan. 15 at his residence at 216 Franklin St. State police at Lehighton responded to the address for a reported woman unresponsive due to a drug overdose.Troopers arrived on scene and determined the woman, Ensel's girlfriend, had died from an overdose.Ensel found her when he returned home from work. Through the course of the investigation troopers determined that Ensel had taken drugs and paraphernalia at the scene and hid them prior to their arrival. He was also charged with three drug counts. Ensel told Nanovic he went to police a short time after the incident and reported what he did.He said he hid the drugs (cocaine) and paraphernalia because he wanted to preserve the woman's "dignity."Nanovic placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, and zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use.Gun saleAndrew Lee Moll, 25, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count of selling a firearm without a license.He was charged by Franklin Township police with selling a .25-caliber Glock handgun to another person while not licensed to sell guns.When arrested he told police he sold the gun to get money to support his drug habit. He told Nanovic he is currently receiving outpatient counseling for his drug addiction problem.Nanovic placed him on probation for 18 months and ordered he get both a D&A and mental health evaluations and to continue is counseling session until he is successfully discharged.Both defendants must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
