July 22, 1993 - The Colonial League unanimously accepts seven Centennial League schools that applied for applications at an emergency meeting at Nazareth. The schools accepted include Lehighton, Northern Lehigh, Northwestern, Palmerton, Pleasant Valley, East Stroudsburg, and Notre Dame of Green Pond. The vote is the first step in a long process of realignment. Stroudsburg and Pocono Mountain opt not to apply to the league. In the end, only four (Palmerton, Northern Lehigh, Northwestern, Notre Dame) of the schools end up in the Colonial League. The other three (Lehighton, Pleasant Valley, East Stroudsburg) join Stroudsburg, Pocono Mountain, Northampton and Nazareth to form the Mountain Valley Conference.
