Things are looking up for student enrollment at the Carbon County Vocational-Technical School in Jim Thorpe.

This was the good news that came out of last night's meeting of the operating board. Dr. Arlene Sarvas, the school's director, reported a slight increase in anticipated attendance during the 1983-84 school year.There will be 22 more students participating in the various courses offered there, last year's number of 550 having increased to 572. The breakdown by school districts is as follows: Lehighton, 192; Palmerton, 127; Jim Thorpe, 114; Panther Valley, 92; and Weatherly, 47.
