July 21, 1948 - Summit Hill's Imrich Sarabok stars on the mound and at the plate to help the East team edge the West, 3-2, in the annual Panther Valley League All-Star game. Sarabok provides all of his team's scoring by belting a three-run homer in the fifth inning. He also gains the pitching win, tossing five innings and allowing two runs while striking out two. Jack Whitehead of Summit Hill adds a hit and run scored. For the West, Lansford's Leo Olsovsky collects two hits and scores a run.
