Three people failed to appear for their preliminary hearings before District Judge Stephen Bayer on July 5. All three had their cases held for county court and had warrants issued for their arrest.

Jonathan George Manness, 31,of the 300 block of West Rowe Street, Tamaqua, was due in court to answer to charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, which were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Peter Sandor. The charges stem from a May 13 incident.Shirley Mae Hazlett,29, ofFox Run Road, New Ringgold, was scheduled for a hearing on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Collin Leibensperger after an April 16 incident.Christopher M. Fessler,30, of Minersville, didn't appear to answer to charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and defiant trespass. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Rick Bekesy after a May 13 incident.Dominic N. Pete,18, of Conyngham, waived charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana to the county court. He was charged by Kline Township patrolman James Patterson after a March 19 incident.Pete was released on his own recognizance.Tabatha Marie Murphy,27, of Tamaqua, waived charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, public drunkenness and criminal mischief to county court. Charges of simple assault were withdrawn by the arresting officer, Tamaqua patrolman Thomas Rodgers. The charges were filed after a May 18 incident.Murphy was released on her own recognizance.Vincent M. Davis,45, ofWest Broad Street, Tamaqua, waived his hearing on charges of providing false identification to law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. The charges were filed May 1 by Leibensperger.Davis was released on his own recognizance.Tina Marie Hosier,30, ofthe 200 block of Valley Street, New Philadelphia, waived hearings on charges filed in two different drug-related incidents.The first case was filed by Tamaqua Police Chief Rick Weaver, stemming from Sept. 30, 2015. Weaver charged her with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, one felony count of criminal use of a communications facility and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.Tamaqua patrolman Anthony Stanell charged Hosier with six felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, one felony count of criminal use of a communications facility and two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance after a Jan. 21 incident.Hosier was unable to post the required $50,000 bail ($25,000 in each case) and was transported back to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.Albert Kokinda,30, ofthe 100 block of North Vine Street, Hazleton, waived a hearing on bad check and theft by deception charges, which were filed by McAdoo patrolman Anthony DiVirgilio. The charges stem from a Dec. 5, 2013, incident.Kokinda was released after posting $1,000 bail.Anthony E. Polcheck,38, ofBruno Avenue, McAdoo, waived charges of retail theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit retail theft. The charges were filed by Rush Township patrolman Bradley Hess after a March 31 incident.Polcheck was also in court on a case filed by Tamaqua patrolman Stanell. Those charges were possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to make a proper turn related to a March 20 incident.Polcheck released on his own recognizance in both cases.
