An attempted burglary at a Schuylkill County residence is being investigated by state police at Frackville.

Troopers said the incident occurred in the area ofEast Pine Street, Sheppton, in East Union Township.Criminals gained entry to a detached garage on the property. The victimdiscovered the overhead garage doors open about 11 a.m. Saturday.She did not find anything taken or any signs of forced entry. The incident occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and when it was discovered, troopers said.
