A Mahanoy City man wanted for failure to report to prison as directed was picked up by Tamaqua police on July 8.
As officers were assisting EMS personnel with a medical call at 11:58 a.m., they received a tip on the location of Jesse Michael Lincovich, 35. The tipster said Lincovich was seen entering 71 Bowe St., Tamaqua, a bit earlier in the morning.Officers went to that location and were told the suspect had left minutes earlier. They conducted a search of the home, with the resident's permission.Unable to locate him in the home, officers then began a search of the area and discovered him sitting on the iron steps between Mahanoy Street and Cottage Avenue.Lincovich ran west on Mahanoy Street. When he refused to stop, officers used a Taser, which dropped him as he ran.While preparing to transport Lincovich to the Schuylkill County Prison, officers found four syringes, two red straws, a razor blade, a metal spoon and three small plastic bags in his possession.In addition to the warrant, he was charged with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
