I want to congratulate Lehighton on its 150th.

Being my adopted town, I am so happy to have raised my three daughters in this town that I have called home since 1976. What a place to live if you love the great outdoors.What a great school district! It's such a friendly place compared with some other places that I have lived. Sure, we have to drive a little further to work, and shop at malls and some other things, but to me, it's worth it.The fireworks on Saturday night were some of the best that I've seen.And as my wife and I watched them from my backyard in Franklin Township, our neighbors cheered for "our" town, and for the pride that we feel for you, Lehighton!Gary ShellyFranklin Township
