Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergies. The church is air-conditioned. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides, Vicar Lauren Heywood assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.Resulting from last week's congregational meeting, Moore has accepted a "call" as full-time pastor at Trinity. Before this, she had been appointed to serve for a one-year term. She will be installed by Bishop Samuel Zeiser at 3 p.m. on Sept. 11.For those interested in church membership, baptism or wedding, appointments with the pastor are available by contacting the church office with your request. Pastor Moore has office hours on Tuesdays and Fridays. Vicar Lauren welcomes input about redeveloping a youth group. She announced that the congregation will be the recipient of grant money to launch this program. Vicar's office hours are on Wednesdays and Thursdays.Looking ahead is the church picnic Aug. 7 at Baer Memorial Swimming Pool Pavilion.
