A Lehigh County woman admitted bringing drugs into the Carbon County prison. She was one of three defendants in drug-related cases to enter a guilty plea Friday before Judge Joseph J. Matika.

Serving timeMelissa Ann Tessitore, 38, of Schecksville, pleaded to one count of contraband by an inmate. On April 4 while being placed in the prison she was found to have drugs on her. The charges were filed by Nesquehoning police.It was noted that Tessitore had a pending criminal matter in Lehigh County. She had her probation revoked and is serving a three- to six-month prison term for that offense.Matika deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.Other pleasOther defendants pleading guilty included:Edward Carnell Fyke, 32, of Berwick, Columbia County, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on Jan. 14 along Interstate 80 westbound in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge following a traffic stop.Matika placed Fyke on probation for six months.Johanna Kathleen Vetesy, 55, of Albrightsville, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.She was arrested on Jan. 8, 2015, by state police at Fern Ridge in the area of 50 Beaver Drive, in Penn Forest Township, where troopers went to serve a warrant.Matika placed her on probation for a year and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment and render 50 hours of community service.Fyke and Vetesy must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
