Hearing continued for man who led police on manhunt

A hearing for a Monroe County man caught by police Wednesday after a six-hour manhunt in a patch of woods in Saylorsburg has been continued.

Mark Everitt, 39, of Effort, was scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge JoLana Krawitz of Stroudsburg.Instead, Everitt's hearing has been continued until 9 a.m. July 18.He has been recommitted to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail.Everitt faces charges on five counts of recklessly endangering another person; four counts of use/possession of drug paraphernalia; and one count each of terroristic threats, criminal trespass, simple assault, disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substance, resisting arrest or other law enforcement, flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment, fleeing or attempting to elude police officers and harassment.
