State police at Fern Ridge said a 86-year-old man from Deer Foot Lane, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, reported that someone stole a firearm from him.

Troopers, who did not indicate what type of gun was taken, said the incident occurred sometime between April 30 and June 3.
