Lansford residents should be wary of scam phone calls, according to the borough police department.Borough Police Chief Jack Soberick said borough residents have called the police department to say they’ve received phone calls from people who claim to be their long-lost grandsons or granddaughters.Soberick said the callers are asking for money.He said anyone who receives such phone calls should contact the borough police department at 570-645-5844.— Terry Ahner
