Silberline Manufacturing Co. Inc. has been trying for months to have the land adjacent to its current facility rezoned from residential to commercial.
Last evening, the Rush Township Board of Supervisors provided its answer. It was not what the firm wanted to hear as the supervisors unanimously turned down the request.Supervisor George A. Pinkey said he believed there was not enough in the 150-foot buffer strip to enforce anything since the township does not have a "green zone" classification. Supervisor Kenneth C. Hoppes agreed. "There are too many unanswered questions."They were joined by Supervisor S. Paul Fegley in opposing the rezoning.
