Police: Man stole jewelry, pawned it

Tamaqua Police have cited Nathan G. Fritz, 28, for a theft in early May.

The victim contacted police on May 26 to report missing jewelry, a 19-inch television and a Galaxy prime cellphone. She had confronted Fritz about the theft shortly after it happened and he promised to bring back the items. When several weeks went by and the items were not returned, she contacted police, telling them she thought Fritz was living in the woods.A check of the NEPA Precious Metals site confirmed that Fritz had pawned the jewelry in West Hazleton.He faces charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
