DUI arrests over holiday weekend

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence arrests made over the holiday weekend.

At 11:23 p.m. Friday, a 26-year-old woman from Lehighton was stopped in the area of Bridge and Seventh streets in Lehighton for a vehicle code violation. She was found to be under the influence and taken for a blood test. The charge is pending test results.

At 12:35 a.m. Saturday, a 35-year-old woman from Saylorsburg was stopped for equipment violations along Burger Hollow Road in Polk township, Monroe County. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and also found to have a suspended license. The DUI charge is pending test results.

Also on Saturday at 7:15 p.m. a 32-year-old man from Allentown was stopped in the area of Pohopoco Drive, near Green Street, in Franklin Township, during a regulatory checkpoint. The driver was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was placed under arrest.

A 29-year-old male passenger from Bethlehem was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, as well as the driver, and drug paraphernalia. The driver was taken for a blood test. Charges are pending test results.

At 8:23 p.m. Monday in the area of Center Avenue in Jim Thorpe, a 22-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe was stopped for a vehicle code violation. She was found to be under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She was taken for a blood test. Charges are pending the test results.

At 9:55 p.m. Monday, a 26-year-old man from Jim Thorpe was stopped in the 1000 block of North Street in the borough for several equipment violations. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was taken for a blood test. Charges are pending the test results.
