State police at Lehighton are investigating a counterfeit check incident that happened on June 14.

The suspect in the case is an 18-year-old woman from Kunkletown.Police said the incident took place at the ATM machine of the First Niagara Bank, 543 Interchange Road, Kresgeville.Police said the suspect deposited a counterfeit check in the amount of $3,000 at the machine.
