An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Tamaqua from 1-6 p.m. July 13 at the Salvation Army Community Center, 105 W. Broad St.Anyone 17 or older, in good general health, who weighs at least 110 pounds is eligible to donate blood. Walk-ins are also welcome.Summer lunchThe South Ward Playground Association is providing a free lunch from now through Aug. 19.The free summer lunch program is open to children up to and including the age of 18. Lunches will be served weekdays, from noon to 1 p.m., at the South Ward Playground.The program is an offshoot of the free school lunch program, with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The nondiscriminatory program is open to all children, regardless of race, origin, religion, etc. In addition to a healthy lunch, participants will be offered a variety of summer activities.The playground is located between Penn and Race streets in Tamaqua's South Ward.Zion LewistownPastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Zion Church of the Lewistown Valley.
