State police are looking for a known fugitive from Monroe County's West End who they said fled officers on foot after a car chase Sunday night.

Brian R. Ratti, of Gilbert, is wanted on several warrants including felonies. He is also a suspect in several burglaries and thefts in the area, according to a news release from state police at Lehighton.On Sunday, police learned that Ratti was possibly hiding at 223 Smale Lane in Eldred Township. While troopers were at the residence, they saw a van passing the residence and identified the driver as Ratti. Ratti drove past the residence and police pursued him. After about one mile, his vehicle turned right and struck a tree. Ratti ran off into the woods near Smale Lane.Ratti's van was impounded by police.Ratti will face charges in connection with the chase on top of his outstanding warrants.
